"Merceditas, la leyenda que palpita"

"Merceditas" é uma conhecida canção do folclore argentino, em ritmo de chamamé, composta e gravada com êxito por Ramón Sixto Ríos, na década de 1940. Alcançou sucesso nacional e internacional com as gravações de Ramona Galarza em 1967 e do grupo Los Chalchaleros em 1973. Trata-se de uma canção de amor não correspondido, considerada (junto a "Zamba de mi esperanza") como a mais famosa música folclórica da Argentina e uma das treze mais populares desse país.
A letra, traduzida em nove idiomas, foi gravada por mais de 90 intérpretes de diversas partes do mundo. São incontáveis os grupos e cantores (mesmo de outros ritmos) que gravaram e interpretam esta música em suas apresentações, tanto em espanhol como na versão em português.
"Merceditas" é um dos chamamés mais executados no Brasil. Esta minha coletânea apresenta gravações apenas em espanhol, tendo ainda duas instrumentais famosas (com Ariel Ramirez e Borghettinho).

Once in a LiveTime é o álbum ao vivo duplo da banda de metal progressivo Dream Theater, gravado em 25 de Junho de 1998 no La Bataclan (Paris) e oferece amostras de músicas de quase todos os seus álbuns de estúdio. Eles também inseriram partes de músicas de algumas de suas influências musicais, o que foi surpreendente e muito legal. "Take the Time" termina com um jam de "Free Bird" (do Lynyrd Skynyrd) e um pouco de "Moby Dick" (do Led Zeppelin).
